Trump's Granddaughter Gets Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

This young athlete boasts substantial online presence

The young golfer can count on multiple high-profile backers as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates numerous courses worldwide and often plays against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she mentioned.

Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"He essentially told me to go out there and have fun," she added.

"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has participated in just three tournaments in 2024 and has the 461st position in AJGA standings.

But she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with her mother.

"He represents the best player in the world," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, following the flow."

The golfer will compete against some of most prominent players in the sport at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Officials commented that involving Kai exposes golf to different demographics, particularly with younger fans.

Kai maintains a massive following and just introduced her own fashion and living company.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
