Passionate fans of the pop star are urging that a individual who jumped a fence and grabbed the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast walked down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed features recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said one more response on Instagram.

Several supporters also criticised event staff at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others requested digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had assembled in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-part version of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected relationship between two distinct witches.

The show itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, securing a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
